WhatsApp Chat Lock a new feature launches by META over more user privacy.
Now, with WhatsApp a “Chat Lock” feature that gives users more control over their privacy. With the option of using a fingerprint or PIN, Chat Lock safeguards conversations and ensures that only the user has access to them.
The company started developing the feature last month and started rolling out to some Android users running as WhatsApp beta.
“We’re excited to bring a new feature called Chat Lock, which lets you protect your most intimate conversations behind one more layer of security, said in the WhatsApp blog.
Locking a chat takes that thread out of the inbox and puts it behind its folder that can only be accessed with your device password or biometric, like a fingerprint. It automatically hides the contents of that chat in notifications too, WhatsApp added.

This feature will be great for people who have reason to share their phones from time to time with a family member or those moments when someone else is holding your phone at the exact moment an extra special chat arrives.
