Facebook Spam Bug – Users Posted Memes On Celebrities Account
On Wednesday Morning, many users reported Facebook is totally right now and spamming everyone’s feed with comments from celebrities accounts.
There was a glitch on Facebook early on Wednesday that caused a number of users to see posts tagging celebrities that had been made by random users, prompting some users to wonder whether the platform had been compromised.
What Happened?
There are several users talking on social platforms such as Twitter and Instagram to share images showing their feeds flooded with posts aimed at celebrities such as Robert Downing Jr, Tom Cruise, Kim Kardashian, and Lady Gaga.
Meta spokesperson Alexandru Voice tweeted,
“Earlier today, a configuration change caused some people to have trouble with their Facebook Feed. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
