Cyber attack on Ukraine Radio Stations group TAVR Media.

The Ukrainian radio operator, TAVR Media, was victimized by a cyberattack on Thursday, broadcasting a false statement that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was seriously ill.

Under the video, the message stated that a robotic voice repeatedly said that Mr. Zelenskyy was in a very serious condition.

TAVR media said in a Facebook statement,

ATTENTION, IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Today there was a kíberataku on the servers and networks of radio stations of tavr media.
At the moment, the relevant services are working to solve this problem.
We emphasize that no information about the health problems of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskyy does not correspond to reality.

There are nine major radio stations owned by the radio holding company, including Hit FM, Radio ROKS, KISS FM, Radio RELAX, Melody FM, Nashe Radio, Radio JAZZ, Classic Radio, and Radio Bayraktar.

State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP) of Ukraine said in the series of tweets,

“Ukrainian radio stations attacked by hackers were spreading #fakenews about Ukrainian President’s health issues. TAVR Media servers and broadcasting networks were #cyberattacked today.”

“This media group manages nine major radio stations: Hit FM, Radio ROKS, KISS FM, Radio RELAX, Melody FM, Nashe Radio, Radio JAZZ, Classic Radio and (most recent) Radio Bayraktar.”

“Hackers have spread the news suggesting that the President of @Ukraine, @ZelenskyyUa is allegedly in critical condition under intensive care and the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk acts in his stead.”

“TAVR Media Group reports that the information communicated on their radio stations is not true. The issue is now being addressed by competent agencies.”

Currently, the origins of the intrusion remain unknown, no source has been identified as responsible for this cyber attack. But several cyber threat actors have taken advantage of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to launch cyberattacks.

This is not the first time, Several radio and TV stations have been hacked since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In February, there was a Cyber Attack on Ukraine Defence Ministry Website And Banks.
