If you are getting a PSN message and your PS4 console crashed, then you are not alone.

Some of the Playstation PS4 users have reported that their PlayStation console were crashing by receiving PSN text messages where an unrecognized special character effectively bricks their consoles and making them crash and leaving them unable to start properly.

Some of the users said that, a reset factory of the device might be erased the message and fix the problem, but other said, it didn’t work and suggested deleting the message from PlayStation mobile app, or logging into the account from an browser.

PS4 started the discussion in the Reddit and giving Warning to its Users.

There is a new glitch that basically bricks your console and forces you to factory reset it. Even deleting the message from the mobile app doesn't work. It happened to me during Rainbow Six: Siege. A player from the other team used a dummy account to send the message and crashed my entire team. We all have had to factory reset. Only one of our guys wasn't affected and he has his messages private.

Do this ASAP to prevent this from happening to you.

Playstation should have work on update on their system software to resolve the issue.
