Google Rolled Out New Chrome Version Fixes Bugs

As part of its first round of updates to Chrome 2022, Google has fixed 37 security issues, including a Critical issue that could be exploited to run arbitrary code and gain control over the system.

The Chrome team is delighted to announce the promotion of Chrome 97 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac and Linux.This will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

Chrome 97.0.4692.71 contains a number of fixes and improvements – a list of changes is available in the log. Watch out for upcoming Chrome and Chromium blog posts about new features and big efforts delivered in 97.

This update includes 37 security fixes including 1 Critical.

For Windows, Mac, and Linux, users are advised to update their Google Chrome versions to the latest version (97.0.4692.71) by just following the steps.

Settings > Help > ‘About Google Chrome’ -> Update to mitigate any risks of active exploitation.
